It’s normal to have lots of questions when you are accessing a new service so our team at Relief have put together a few examples below of the questions our clients ask us. This is all about alieviating any fears you may have when it comes to massage and the process you may go through and also clarifying our procedures and policies.

Q: How do I book an appointment?

A: Click here to book or phone, text or email Bruno to make an appointment. See the contact us page for full details.

Q: Do you offer a mobile service?

A: While we are based full time at our studio at Creo Pukekohe, at the start of our massage practice we were a mainly mobile service and are still capable of this so please contact us if you are unable to get to our massage studio in Pukekohe so we can assess whether that is a possibility on a case by case basis.

Q: If I have received a promotional loyalty card, how can I arrange my free 1/2 hour massage?

A: As you probably already know, every new client to Relief Massage in Pukekohe is entitled to their first 1/2 hour massage FREE. To book yours phone or txt to make a booking with Bruno and just let him know that you have a loyalty card and are booking in for your first free massage. He will advise of the next available promotional time slot and we will look forward to seeing you!

Q: Do you have a reminder service for bookings?

A: Yes our therapist will send you a reminder txt or phone call the day before your appointment.

Q: What do I do if I can’t make my appointment?

A: Phone, text or email Bruno to make an alternative appointment booking and we will see you then. Preferrably you will let us know at least 48hrs in advance if you are unable to make your appointment so we have the chance to offer your time slot to another client.

Q: Where do we get changed?

A: Our studio has a changing room for you to undress in.

Q: Do we need parental consent if we are under 16yrs?

A: Yes, it is our policy that any persons under 16 years are required to have parental consent to be massaged at Relief and preferably be accompanied by an adult.

Q: Do you massage children?

A: Yes, we will massage children. Children 14 and under ‘must’ be accompanied by an adult and have the permission of their parents or caregivers prior. As a parent of three myself I have seen many benefits in massage with my children, right from birth.

Q: Do you have gift vouchers?

A: Yes, just let us know what value you want it to be.

Q: If I arrive a little early what do I do?

A: If there is a session in progress you will see a small sign up in our waiting area. So take a seat and read a magazine. Our therapist Bruno will let you know when it is time to come through.

Q: Do I need to wear anything in particular when coming to the massage session?

A: No, you can wear any clothing. Our therapist will take care to wipe excessive massage balm from your skin so there is minimal concern about staining clothing and as our balms and oils are top quality NZ products they are also a very good moisturizer to leave on the skin and allow some absorption to take place. There shouldn’t be any staining although we cannot guarantee this.

Q: Will I have to undress fully and be completely naked and what happens when it is time to undress etc?

A: No, depending on your level of comfort our therapist will work with your wishes. Following your consultation Bruno will hand you a wrapping blanket and show you to the changing room so you can undress. After wrapping yourself in the blanket securely you will then hop onto the massage table and lie face down or place yourself as instructed. Regardless of your level of comfort it is our policy that we facilitate an environment where clients maintain some level of modesty but not in a way that will impede our service to you. Our therapist Bruno is trained in the careful draping process to allow privacy according to your individual level of comfort.

Q: What is draping?

A: Draping is where the therapist carefully uses towels and covering blankets to drape strategically over your body allowing access to the body parts being massaged while keeping the remainder of your body covered and warm, which enhances the massage experience and is an important part of loosening the muscles for massage treatment.

Q: What does each session include?

A: Each session begins with a consultation which can vary in length between 5 mins for a catch up appointment to 15 minutes for a first time appointment. This ensures that we are informed about any personal or medical requirements that you may have and allows us to design the session or plan to suit your individual needs and goals.
